L'Aigle du Simplon fut érigé par la Brigade de montagne 11 en commémoration de la Seconde Guerre mondiale
Ancien hospice fondé au 13ème siècle par les Chevaliers de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem. Il fut acquis au 17ème siècle par Garspard Stockolper, le "Roi de Simplon" qui fit fortune avec le commerce du sel
En me promenant dans les forêts de l'Ossola j'ai été surpris de découvrir des primevères des bois. La Primula Vulgaris au mois de janvier, c'est bizarre... Le climat nous joue de drôles de tours !
